Hi, I'm Jeff Fenholt. J. Brian Duncan is on the keyboards here. We're having some fun in Nashville. Flew out here from California. This is the first time I've taped here in Nashville. I'm enjoying it. We've got good people, we've got good people out there in California, too. Actually, there's good people all over the country who love the Lord. Praise God, that.
Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. I looked up the word 'all' in the Greek. It means ALL. You can do all things through Christ Jesus. Now, what does that tell me?
First of all, looking back I can't believe where the Lord has brought me from. I went to a heavy rock concert recently with some friends of mine, who were still playing in the rock groups. And, I just inadvertly ran into these guys. I'm not gonna go through the whole story, but I ran into them. We were in the same town together. They invited me to come to this big concert they were doin'. And I went to the concert. The dope was floatin' through the area, you know. You could get a buzz just standin' near the stage. All the stuff that was goin' on and all the things that were happenin' with the band, it was a big group. I was listenin' to money problems. You know, guys say, 'Well, I got money problems. I've been, you know, ripped off by this and that and the other thing.' Then somebody else said, 'Well, I did some drugs. And blah, blah, blah. And I'm havin' some struggles.' One guy was so messed up he was, like, shaky all the time. And I was lookin' at it and thinkin', 'I thank you Lord for bringin' me a long way.' And I don't gloat, believe me. My heart breaks for people who are bound up and hurtin'. But the answer is Jesus.
The answer is Jesus. There's no other Lord; there's no other Savior. You can go New Age freak out, geek out, from now to 'til forever; but, there's only one way that you're goin' to find true peace and know the truth. The truth, the operative word, truth. And that is, by givin' your life to Jesus Christ. You might be wonderin', why is he talkin', like, out of the box? Like this, this guy, you know, former rocker, or whatever. Why is he talkin' to me about Jesus? 'Cause that's the most important thing we can talk about. A lot of times I wait, and we will do it toward the end of the program, or this, that, or the other thing. You need to think about this, seriously. You're, literally, you're eternal life depends upon this very thought. And that is, who is Jesus? And who is Jesus to you? Do you know Him? Duh! The devil knows Him. Have you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior? Well, You need to give your life to Jesus. Praise God.
What key are you in there? C? Song :How Great Thou Art. Hold that there. One of these rock'n'roll guys said to me the other night, when I said to him, 'You want to pray? Let's pray. I want to pray for you.' He said, 'Oh, you can pray for me, but I ain't gonna pray, because I ain't ready to be a nice guy and just go out and help old people.' Duh! It's wonderful to help grandmas and grandpas. That's something God puts into your heart, once you get saved [some unsaved people even]. So it's wonderful. But the truth is, it's not all just about bein' good and helpin' somebody, bein' a Christian. It's about salvation; it's about you; it's about learnin' how to overcome. I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.Do you need to be strengthened in your life? I do. I struggle. I struggle day in and day out. Struggle with gettin' on airplanes, smilin'. Sometimes you don't feel like it, you know? But, you know what? God takes over. I can go to the Rock. Where were we on that song?
Praise God. Look around you, there is a God. Who strengthens me. He doesn't expect you to be perfect. He wants your heart. Praise you, Jesus. I'm gonna do a song called I Got Saved [650k .wav file, 30 sec]. We're gonna have some fun with this. How about Jesus Is The Rock And He Rolled My Blues Away. Do you have the blues out there? Jesus will give you the joy of the Lord. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.
