Jeff: This is the program. This is the program that belongs to Jesus. Jesus is Lord. You know, if Jesus wasn't a part of my life, we wouldn't even be here, man. I probably wouldn't even be alive right now. I'd be either drugged up or in hell. And I'll tell you, hell is no party. The devil's going to hell; the devil's defeated. He wants to take everyone with him, you know. A lot of what is going on in the media, and I'm not just pickin' on the media, it's happened all over. Man, it's happened in the churches. We've got churches that somehow misinterpreted the Bible where it says, Many are called and few are chosen. Some of them think it says, 'Many are cold, and few are frozen'. You know what I mean? :) And people trying to take down people talkin' about Jesus. I don't know what it is, man, I've had people come to me and give me trouble about my life, since I've been serving the Lord. I've had to do tapes, put together tapes [if you can imagine that] of me recording with Black Sabbath; and tours that I've done with rock bands; and documenting things. Even Jesus Christ Superstar, in the beginning of this show there is a picture of me on Time Magazine as Jesus. But we've had people call in goin', 'When were you the star of Jesus Christ Superstar?' People all wanting to stop anyone who's lifting up the name of Jesus. But I've got news for you guys. We're not goin' to stop doing nothin'. We are not goin' to shut up; we're goin' to turn up; and we're goin' to pray up; until we go up to be with the Lord. Praise God.

First of all, we've got a couple of friends of ours with us. We fellowship together in church. We work together in reachin' people in the streets. And of course I have my lovely wife, Reeni, with me, who doesn't like to kiss me on television.

Reeni: But I did it, I did it.

Jeff: She did it. We get letters. People give us letters saying, 'Christians should not kiss on TV.' Well, that's tough. We already did.

Reeni: We did. Twenty-two years of marriage and we can kiss on television.

Jeff: Yeah. O.K. That's that. But anyway, we have our friends with us. They used to be gang bangers. And for some, who are not aware of what that means, that's where you go out and shoot people. And now they're doing drive by spiritual gang banging, if you will, on the devil. They're shooting down the devices of the devil and leading people to Jesus. The Word of God says in Romans 1:16, I'm not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of every one who believes; first for the Jew, then for the gentile. Praise the Lord God. I'm not ashamed of the gospel, man. Why should I be ashamed of the gospel? Are you ashamed of the gospel? Are you ashamed? I know Reeni's not. 'Cause she even uses it on me when I get out of line. :) It's incredible to be married, and then when you have an argument, you have to confront Scripture. It's all this stuff like, 'But the Bible says this.' You know? The Bible is the all mighty Word of God.

Reeni: The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. That's right. We have a spiritual sword, the sword of the Spirit, and that's the Word of God.

Jeff: For the tearing down of strongholds. Amen. Amen. We're not perfect yet, guys. But there's a day coming when we're gonna pass from this life into the next life. We're gonna be glorified to be with the Lord; we're gonna be changed; we're gonna have glorified bodies. The Word of God tells us, the Word of God says, someday we're gonna know all things. Some of you, right now, you're just miserable. Let's face it, you're miserable, what can I tell you? And you've been goin' around like, 'Why has this happened to me? What's goin' on?' Well, first of all, God can feel your broken heart. He can take you out of all that garbage you're into. I had to get my eyes off myself, for one thing, and start reaching out to others. So, I'm not ashamed of the gospel. Because, you see, the gospel of Jesus turns a guy carrying a shotgun, and blowin' people away; and the trouble that he's been into [stabbed and all this stuff], the Lord has miraculously released him from prison and kept him in power and a place of strength here. How can I be ashamed of that? How can I be ashamed of the gospel that I know? The Word of God can set you free, if you just do what's written in the Bible. People sometimes say to me, 'Well, it just, things just don't work in my life. I'm glad things have happened for you, dude, but it's really not happenin' for me.' And I'll say, 'Have you given your heart to Jesus?' 'Well, I think so.' Then right away I say, 'Well, O.K. You need to pray to receive Jesus.' But then we'll go on and we'll talk after we've been prayin' and stuff. And they'll say, 'Well, I don't know if it's gonna work.' I'll say, 'Well, you need to read the Word of God. Get in the Word.' How many times have you talked to someone, that is saved, and they say, 'It just is not working'. They'll say, 'Well, I just keep, kinda, going back to the old things, and falling in this trap'. And I'll say, 'Well, are you in a solid church?' 'No.' 'So you're not in goin' to church?' 'No.' 'Well, Are you trying? Are you atleast lookin' for a church?' 'No.' Are you readin' the Word?' 'No.' 'Are you hanging out with Christian friends?' 'No.' And I just say, 'Well, what do you expect?' Yeah, I mean, really. But I'm not ashamed of the gospel, because it's the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first the Jew, then the gentile.

Reeni: Who wants to be lukewarm, anyway? Because that's, we all know what happens to lukewarm people. You know? God says, He will spew you out of His mouth. And that is the same as vomit. That is what He's saying. I will vomit you out of My mouth. And I don't want to be vomited. I want to be.... He said It's better to be hot or cold, then to be lukewarm. And there are plenty of lukewarm Christians. And you've got to realize what, you know, Jesus said Himself in John 14. He said, Verily, verily. I say unto you, he that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also. And greater works then these shall he do because I go unto My Father. And if you think about it, greater works....It says, He that believes on Him, he that believes on Jesus, will do greater works. Are we all doing greater works?

Jeff: Check it out. Some people might think that I'm, maybe, stretching this a little. I'm gonna talk of something that's more of a physical thing happening today. As compared to a greater work, in terms of the Holy Spirit. This show is being shared to 70 million homes. And going throughout the whole world; and in different languages: Russian, Chinese. It's goin' throughout the Orient, South America, Central America, the United States, Canada, everywhere. This was just shared all over the world because of the power of television, Christian television. God has given us Christian television and brought Christian television to the world through Trinity Broadcasting Network. And we just spoke to more people in 30 minutes here, than John the Baptist spoke to in his entire lifetime. That is not boasting, but it's true. He said, Greater things than these shall you do, because I go to be with My Father. Well, some would say, 'Well, they're speaking in spiritual terms. You're talkin' in physical terms.' But the spiritual ramifications are this, thousands and thousands of people are being saved. And the important thing is that Jesus died for each person, everyone watching [and hearing and reading]. You know, we're hearing from people who are getting saved, just some tremendous things. I have a friend of mine, who was with Ronnie James Dio's band. He's given his heart to the Lord. He played with Black Sabbath during the Heaven and Hell, or the Black and Blue, or one of those. But anyway, he's a wonderful guy and he's in Florida. Craig, I love you, brother, I really do. He, and his lovely wife, are doing well. I heard from Rick Waiteman from Yes. Rick and I are talkin' about puttin' together a group this year. We're planning to start into the studio soon and just kick ideas around. We're not trying to put any kinda big deal on it, you know, like it's gotta happen. This has to happen or that has to happen. But we're just giving it all to the Lord, and just see what the Lord does.

[I want to hit the streets, man. Ninety-four, you know, I just feel like the end of ninety-three and now ninety-four, we just need to hit the streets, and go out and win souls.]

If you're out there and you're in the music scene, music business, or something, and you want to help us out....Let me tell you, we're not going to the pagans or the unsaved to look for our backing or support or anything else. Obviously, we'd be in the soundstage of S.I.R. next week, if we wanted. Or this or that or the other thing. But I'll tell you. We're lookin' to Christians, and we're looking to people. And if this is of the Lord, then it's gonna rise up. You know?

A lot of people have been noticed that Jesus Christ Superstar is out touring right now. And it's selling 7,500 tickets a night at $70 a ticket. You saw my picture at the beginning of this program. I was the original Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. And on the cover of Time Magazine. I was the original Jesus in the Broadway production. I'd like to make that straight with people out there. Because we've had people saying, 'Well, they're saying this other guy was.' I don't care what people say. The facts are there. And a lot of people have asked me, 'Why don't you do Jesus Christ Superstar?' I would love to do it, with regards to the money. I'm not an idiot. And I'm not a fool. You know? I worked, I put in a lot of time on that production. I worked with Andrew Webber. I went through a lot of pain getting that production off the ground, in the beginning, and touring it, and everything. And then several years on Broadway. I almost died behind that production from drugs and all the craziness. So, I'm not an idiot, and I'm not a fool. I don't have a spirit of poverty on me or anything else. I would love to see $500,000 a night coming in, doing a production. But, you see, I really believe in my heart, I know that I was bound up when I was doing that show. I know what we were trying to put across. I know the humanism behind it. And I know that I can still walk out and sing, 'I only want to say, if there is a way, take this cup away from me, for I don't want to taste it's poison.' And then everybody roars. And all the tickets and all this stuff. But you see, I want to lift up Jesus. I don't wanna sing about a Jesus, who doesn't know who He is. So if you think it's been easy for Reeni and me, I'll tell you, it's not. And I'm probably the worst of the lot. And I'll tell you the truth, sometimes things get tight. Sometimes we get hit financially, this way or that way. And the devil will come in, a phone call will happen. People say, 'Hey, why are you letting this dude go out there and sell 7,500 tickets a night behind your production, dude? Why don't you go out and do it?' Well, because I believe in my heart, what I'm doing right now is more important than all the major concerts or anything else on this planet. But with regards to Rick Waiteman, the reason Rick and I are talkin' is because of all the success and the things that we've had in the past. Him with Yes; me with the things I've had. We feel, I feel, I want to do things to reach the lost. Rick feels that way as well. Other musicians as well, people want to reach out and touch the lost. We're gonna go for the lungs, man, spiritually in ninety-four. I'm gonna go for the lungs. I want to get the devil. You know, Nicky Cruz discipled me. And I remember Nicky used to say, 'I'm gonna go for the lungs, man.' He was a gang banger, and a killer. We're not talkin' religion here, are we? I've got to be honest with you. I don't care who writes me letters. I don't care who likes me or doesn't like me. Because the bottom line here is, we're not trying to please religious spirits or any other spirits. We're trying to please God. We're not trying to please men. But I'm gonna tell you this. If you're a Catholic and you love Jesus, then I'll give you a big kiss; and tell you, 'I love you, too.' If your a Methodist or a Baptist or I don't care what, I love you. You're my brother and sister in Christ. And we're gonna, we're goin' for the lungs, man.

Reeni: The bottom line is, no matter what denomination that anybody belongs to, or is a part of, you have to give your heart to Jesus. That's the bottom line. Because your denomination will never save you. But if you give your heart to Jesus, then you're saved. And that's really what it's all about. And we just have to realize that. You know, I've met people that have been brought up in real religious families. And they never gave their hearts to the Lord until they were adults.

Jeff: The Word of God says here in Romans 1:21, For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God, nor gave thanks to Him. I'm not talkin' to Methodists or anybody. I'm talkin' to people who've known God, but just don't glorify Him or give Him thanks. But their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. And exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images [or their own image]. Some people think we're talkin' about idols or images here. But some people parade around with a form of godliness, but denying the power therein. That image I run into everyday. I'm called everything but a Reuben sandwich. I still have people, even as sweet and cute as I look and everything now, :) people weird out on me sometimes, you know. The bottom line is that you can try to look clean; you can try to act clean; you can try to be clean; but, it all comes down to the only cleanliness you're gonna find, in your soul and in your spirit, comes from giving your heart to Jesus. I want to pray this prayer with you. And I want you to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Those of you who have never given your heart to Him, or redeicate to Him now if you have. You need to give your heart to Jesus.

Reeni: If you're a backslider, come back.

Jeff: Slide back, man, to Jesus. I want you to pray this prayer with me, and mean it in your heart. He'll hear your cry. Say, 'Father God. I come to You in Jesus' name. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I receive You, now, as my Lord and Savior. Wash me clean. I will glorify You. And I will give You thanks. I am saved and I'm a child of the King. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.' Praise God. If you prayed that prayer, and meant it in your heart, the Word of God says that you are saved. Keep going for the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise God. Praise the Lord Jesus.
