GIVIN' TO WIN SOULS TO CHRIST

We're gonna receive an offerin' now for our ministry. How many believe it's important to win souls to Christ? I believe that's important. How much do we give for a soul? I'm not gonna ask us to put a number on it, but I'm talkin' about of ourselves. I go out and I do everythin' I can do to reach the lost. We're witnessin' to kids. I've sold my homes. I've done everything I can do to give and to do what God has called us to do. When I got saved I was what you call 'up and out'. And I've had a lot of stuff. And I've had a lot of ability to earn money and I still do. God blesses us; and as we keep things flowin', God continues to bless us and to bless our ministry. But I want you to know this, I believe that everyone, who participates in this ministry, tonight, to help me to continue to do what I do, and I'm livin' by faith; I believe that you have a part in every soul that we win to Christ from this moment forward. You've seen me on television. People have this idea that I bring in millions and millions of dollars on television. Well, we do. But let me tell me what we do. Ten years ago when I got on Christian television, I had just come out of the rock industry. I hadn't sold my houses; I hadn't sold my stuff. And I've done that by choice. And I'm not preachin' a poverty message. I do not believe...I believe God prospers His people. It's just something cathartic, that I believe the Lord had me dealin' with and goin' through. Because a lot of the stuff that I had, kinda had me, if you know what I'm talkin' about, before I was servin' God. But we've had Christian television programs, the number one Christian program, outside the United States, in the world is the program that God has us to do. We have the number one program throughout the world. We're on the European Network, which is unheard of, throughout all of Europe. And in the United States, we have a very popular show. It's in the top ten. But let me tell you what's happened. Every dime that comes in from television, we give back to Christian television to propogate the Word of God throughout the world. I have never taken one dime for all the work you've seen on television. We have never put one dime in our own ministry funds or in my pocket. So, I want people to understand that, you are givin' to help me to continue to do what I'm called to do.

I enjoy witnessin' and doin' what I do in churches. I enjoy bein' able to go to different countries and witness. Some of the things that I get invited to do, blow my mind. There's a guy named Ben, who was a former president of the biggest motocycle, outlaw motorcycle club, in the United States. I'm not gonna name them. But in any event, I'm not scared, I'm just not gonna name them. But the truth I don't want them to think that we're capitalizin' on exploitin' them or whatever, if any of them hear this tape. But this guy got saved, as the president of one of the biggest outlaw motorcycle clubs in America. He now works in a ministry in Texas, which would give away a little bit of who that motorcycle club is. And he and I are goin' to do an outlaw biker rally the last week of January '99. And I believe we're gonna hit thousands of bikers in that area. And it is gonna be knarley, but it is gonna...knarley Harleys, and all that. But we are gonna see a move of God in that place. Did you see one time when I was on TBN and I asked these bikers to sing a Christmas song that they sang for me before the show? All these bikers got up and went, 'deck the halls with boughs of Harleys, falalalalalalala....' They were standin' there goin', 'Tis the season to get knarley, falalalalalala.'

I went to a church one time, and we had a tremendous outreach. And after it was over, several months later, I had a friend that is a football player, who plays professional football in the NFL, and they asked him to come in and do an outreach. And he did. Then they said we want you to come back and try to hit the schools in the city. And he, 'I'd like to do it, but I'd like to bring Fenholt with me, because I've got the sports thing down but Fenholt could kinda reach some of these people we're not able to reach.' And the pastor said, 'NoNoNo, we're not gonna have Fenholt. We'd just like you to do this.' He said, 'Well, Fenholt told me to tell you he loves you, and he hadn't seen you for awhile. I thought you had a tremendous outreach. Jeff said you had 18 drug addicts delivered that night in your church.' Pastor said, 'Yeah, it was an amazing night of ministry. We had a wonderful, wonderful time in ministry.' But he looked at my friend and said, 'But I got to tell you, it took us almost a year to get rid of some of those people that came in the church.' And my friend just sat there and looked at him. And he said, the pastor picked up that my friend was displeased, at best, with that. Looking at him the pastor said, 'Oh well, don't get me wrong. We appreciate Jeff. And he has his place in the body of Christ. I want you to know, I stood up the week after that Fenholt outreach in his church. And I announced to the church that we needed men to join the choir. He had four bikers apply to the choir. I think that's a bit extreme for this church.' Excuse me, DUH, I thought bikers belong in the choir.

Let me tell you what we're up against out there. And you say, 'Well, this is a long offering you're doin'.' No, I got off on a tangent here, and I want to keep goin'. Hahahaha. We have to hear this in the body of Christ. If for no other reason, then to make me happy to be able to share it, finally get it off my chest.

My Deepest Love,
Jeff
