Hi, I'm Jeff Fenholt. I'm here with my wife, Reeni. We'd like to welcome you to Highway to Heaven. We're here to talk about one person, and that person is Jesus. In all things we're here to lift up the name of Jesus. Today, we'll be sharing about some experiences that I've had recently, different things that have happened in my life. And things that have happened in Reeni's life. Things that the Lord has brought us to. Reeni and I, as you know, come out of very difficult background. There was abuse in the family. I was very tough and hard to live with before I came to the Lord Jesus. But the Lord has washed me in his blood. That's why I'm as cute, and sweet, and why I got the joy. 'Cause I've got the joy of the Lord. Reeni, would you agree with that? Do you think I'm pretty sweet these days?

Reeni: I think you're adorable. [laughter] :)

Well, I love you.

Reeni: I love you. It's true that the Lord has really brought our marriage out of some really incredibly dark places. The power of God is so strong. It doesn't matter how bad you're situation is, God is able. The Bible says, Nothing is impossible with Him. There is absolutely nothing that God cannot do. No matter how horrible your situation is. And I believe that Jeff's and my situation was just about as dark as it could get.

We're hearing, we're getting a lot of letters from people who are getting their prayers answered out there. Women and men that have been believing for their marriages. One thing that really breaks my heart, and yet it really gives me a lot of, I guess the word is joy, to see it happenin'. Is these kids that are prayin' for their fathers and mothers. What breaks my heart is that a lot of these kids are the ones that are standin' strong inside the family, for their parents who are possibly on drugs or alcohol. But what really makes me happy, and where I find real hope, is that these kids are in love with Jesus. And they're able to go to the Lord, and understand that He's their Father in heaven.

I had a very interesting time a couple of days ago. I was up in Corcoran Prison. I flew up there. I did an outreach with a friend of mine, Pastor Juan. And went up to the prison the next day. And visited with Charlie Manson. I was given total clearance, which I believe absolutely incontrovertibly was the Spirit of the Lord moving on the whole situation. Because, apparently, Charlie's not allowed to see very many people. And I was given total freedom, and total clearance to sit alone with Charles. And have a two hour conversation with him about Jesus, the Messiah. If I get into it...I don't know if I'll really go into some, really all the stuff that went on during the time that we spoke. But I can tell you it was one of the most riveting, and powerful discussions that I've had for a number of years. Quite frankly, I felt that I was dealin' with a person there, that reminded me of a lot of the artists and people that I've hung out with over the years.

You know, the Word of God says in Psalm 107, Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. That's Psalm 107:1. Give thanks to the Lord, for He's good. His love endures forever. You know, some of us think about God's love the way love exists today on planet earth. The only true love, the only true love, comes from God. Comes from our Savior Jesus, who died for us; hung on a cross; shed His blood for our sin, so that we could be forgiven of our sins. And have fellowship with the God who created the heavens and earth.

Reeni and I believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I believe in the Word of God. Jesus is the Word. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was there [and I'm paraphasing]. But it says that the Word became flesh and dwelled among us. When did the Word of God become flesh? When Jesus came and dwelled among us. Why did Jesus come, and hang out with us? And sit with me at the Rainbow Grill, if you will, back when I was head-bangin'. Or when did Jesus come back stage when I was vomitting blood from doin' too many drugs, or this stuff? When did all this happen? Well, I believe that because Jesus died for me, and He rose again, and He sits at the right hand of the Father, that He is there for us when we call on Him. And I believe that Jesus sticks closer than a brother. And I believe that everytime somebody witnessed to me, everytime something went down in my life that talked to me about Jesus, Jesus was callin' to me. Saying, 'Jeff, come to me, man. I really, you know, it is ridiculous for you to be out there, literally blowin' your mind; and ruinin' your life. Tryin' to destroy your wife, tryin' to destroy your whole world around you, you know.' And Jesus has been there in my life all the time. I don't know if what I'm sayin' makes sense to you, but if it doesn't make sense to you that's probably because you've never really called on the name of the Lord.

Let me tell you somethin'. When I was in the prison with Charlie Manson [and I know Charles, I know you're watchin' this program because you told me. Charlie told me that he watches this show.] While I was inside the prison there, Charlie prayed and received Jesus as his Savior. Now, before you go settin' off fireworks and everythin' out there, some Christians you know, 'Wow! Here we go.' I'll tell you this. This man is stuck in isolation. We had a lengthy discussion about the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm goin' to be curious to see what the Lord Jesus continues to do in Charles Manson's life. But I wanna tell you somethin'. For those of you that are thinkin' about writing me a letter, and talkin' to me about the crimes that any of us have commited, or that this one is not good, that one is not good. Let me tell you somethin'. If you're the best businessman on the face of the earth, let me talk to one of the biggest businessman in the world right now, I.C. You're a man to be reckoned with, you're a man to be admired in terms of your business acumen, and the tenacity you have for puttin' things together. If you had received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, brother, you're gonna praise the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords forever and ever. If you haven't received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, if you haven't come under the mercy of the Lord, you are goin' to hell. If you're listenin' and you wanted to say to me, 'I don't believe I'm goin' to hell because God, if He's a God of love, wouldn't send me to hell.' I'll tell you right now, if you don't receive Jesus as your Savior you send yourself to hell. My point is this, that the best businessman on the face of the earth, the man that is livin' a clean life in society is still bound up unto sin until you give your heart to Jesus Christ. Whether you're in prison as a convicted of murders, mass murders; or whether you are runnin' one of the biggest corporations in the world, we all need the Lord Jesus Christ.

When the Word of God says in Psalm 107, Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. How many times have you, men, gone to bed with some women, and you thought, 'Man, this is great. This is gonna be so fantastic. We're in love, you know. We've got a thing goin' here.' And how long did that love last? How long did it go on? How many times have we had a relationship? Even Reeni and I, when we were havin' our relationship as husband and wife, there was a end to our relationship and our love. If things wouldn't have turned around in the Lord, I'll guarantee you, Reeni would not have stayed with me. Or else, I would have been off somewhere just continuing to blow my mind. There is an end to the love that comes in the world. Correct me if I'm wrong, feel free to jump in anytime. But there is a love that's of the earth, and that is a love I understand very well, because I lived it for a number of years. Where the only thing that I was in love with my wife, was her legs or her body, or her havin' fun, or if she would get drunk with me, or wear some rude lookin' clothes. And that's what I was into. And then there is the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. When you get the love of Jesus into your heart, all of a sudden you don't care if you're witnessin' to the President. What you feel is the love of Jesus. Maybe you don't understand us, but you'd have to come under the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. It is a love that endures, or lasts forever. The Word of God says that, His love endures forever. The love that I have for my wife, right now, will endure forever because it is the love of the Lord. I love God. I love Jesus more than I love anyone else. And because I love Him so much, now, I'm able to love my wife the way I'm suppose to love my wife. Some of you will write letters to me when I talk to you about this, but I can tell you this; but, I can tell you this, and I'll say it to the camera. And I don't care who likes it, or who doesn't like it. God put a love on my heart for Charlie Manson before I went into that cell. Before I went into that area where we meet, God put a love on my heart in that visitin' area that we went to. I walked in there. I prayed for the joy of the Lord. And we laughed for two hours, and talked about Jesus. We prayed, we went around, and we went around, and we went around. But I'm gonna tell you somethin'. God's mercy and His love endures forever. Praise the Lord God.
