Welcome to Standin' On The Rock. And I am standin' on the rock. It's the rock that doesn't roll. Jesus is the rock. And He saved me out of drugs; He saved me out of the garbage; He saved me out of paranoia, and all the mess that had taken hold of my life. I praise God for Jesus.
God says in His Word, Malachi 4:6, In the last days, I will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children; and the hearts of the children to the fathers. And the last word in the Old Testament says, If this doesn't happen, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. What we have seen, we've seen a lot of trouble; a lot of things goin' on out there in the streets; a lot of things goin' on in our school system; a lot of things goin' on throughout the society at large. And our children are under attack. Our children have been in trouble. Our children have literally been under the gun. But the Word of God says, Where sin abounds, grace does much more there abound. And, I believe, God is turnin' the hearts of the baby boomers, and the generations above [if you will], to the young generation. And then, in turn, God is turnin' the hearts of the young sons and daughters to the older generations. And, I believe, that God is not goin' to send a curse. We are not under a curse. We're under the Word, and the power, and the blessings, and the covenant of Almighty God. And we're gonna see this nation changed, and particularly, this generation of young people, changed for the glory of God. Praise God.
Some of us think we've gone through the fire or through some problems. Let me tell you somethin'. This brother has been through, but the operative word is through. You know the Word of God says, Nothing can separate us [and that means you, too] from the love of God through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Sometimes we think we've sinned, or we've done wrong. The Word of God says, All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. For me, I would hate to say that sin could ever be an advantage, and I'm not sayin' that; but, the actual truth is, I was so far gone on pills and so messed up from the sin that had happened in my life. I realized, man, I need a way out of this. Some of the most dangerous turf that people can get in, is people get into a place where they are comfortable. A lot of times that comes from success, havin' money. I've had a lot of success, and a lot of money. But, thank God. God is greater than anything the devil can throw at you to try to dissuade you from the truth. And the truth is, we need a Savior; and the truth is, His name is Jesus. There is no other savior; there is no one else by whom we can be saved. One time for all time, Jesus went to the cross. He died in our place. I go into death row, preach and speak in the prisons. And I've talked to men that were, literally, days away from bein' executed. And I've seen it in their eyes. I've seen men that had not given their hearts to Jesus; and I can tell you, they're tormented as they are goin' toward their death. I've have seen men, who have made their peace with God. And, He who the Son has set free, is free indeed.
How about you out there? Do you know the Lord? You need to know Jesus. We're gonna agree for your spiritual healin', those of you that are watchin'. Then we're gonna agree for your physical healin'. We're gonna agree for salvation to come on everyone that is watchin'. And for those of you that have been goin' through a real struggle; and you say, 'Where is God in the midst of this struggle?' He's our ever present help in times of trouble. The Word of God says, He sticks closer than a brother. [tongues] I will never leave you. And I will never forsake you, saith the Lord. [tongues] My hand is stretched out to you still. [tongues] Turn your face to Me, and seek Me with all your heart. [tongues] And you shall find me. [tongues] For I am with you always. [tongues] I am your God. [tongues] I am your healer. [tongues] And I have called you as Mine. [tongues] Praise you, Holy Spirit. Praise you, Lord Jesus.
