Battling against nations, or governments against governments, or people battling with drugs. I was a drug addict. Even though I'm wealthy; even though I have lived in mansions since I was twenty years old; I was still on drugs. Filled with violence, and hatred. And then I found whom my enemy is. We battle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against principalities, against rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. Our battle is against satan, the father of lies. But greater is the Lord Jesus, who brings us life, and life abundantly.
How many love Jesus here tonight? Raise your hand if you love Jesus? Praise the Lord. Not only is this Moscow for Jesus, but now this has become Russia for Jesus. Praise the Lord. And I'm gonna bring it into modern terms. They said to Jesus, 'Why are You walkin' the streets of Moscow? Why are you out there hangin' out with the K.G.B.? Why are You talkin' to the youth in the streets? Why are You talkin' to the homeless? Why are You sitting and havin' dinner with the prostitutes? And with the sinners? And with the leaders of government? When You could be with us, the religious leaders?' Jesus turned to them and said, I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repent. The physician does not come for the healthy, but for the sick.
As you know, I was Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. I sang on the album, the Original Broadway Cast album. I sang all that stuff. How many have heard me sing? How many of you have seen me before I was saved? It's a lot better now, isn't it? :) Praise God. Now, I can see you. Before I was saved, you might've seen me, but I never could see you. :) I was too drunk on your Vodka. :) And I was too ripped on drugs and pills. I sang for six months with Black Sabbath. I sang with the rock group Armageddan. I did the Bible Black Tour in the United States of America. Two of our musicians in that tour, were murdered. But I believe that God spared my life, so that I could stand here in Moscow and proclaim to every one who will listen, and every one listening in Russia by television: Jesus Christ is King of Kings. Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords. All power and glory belong to Jesus. And all authority is given to Jesus in heaven and in earth. Praise the name of the Lord.
This man prayed over me. He was a carpenter. He had ten more carpenters with him. They were working in my mansion, in New York. They asked if they could pray for me. I cursed them. I told them, 'I hate you, I hate everyone.' I said, 'You don't understand me. I was in youth prison when I was twelve. Jesus isn't for me.' They said, 'You played the part of Jesus Christ Superstar. Now, are you ready to receive the real Jesus Christ?' I said, 'No, I'm not. But if you want to pray for me, pray for me.' And I said silently in my heart, 'Jesus, if You're real, get me out of these drugs. Get me out of this paranoia, and this fear in my mind. If You're real, Jesus, help me.' When they prayed, the power of satan lifted off of me. Because the power of the Holy Spirit came upon me. The blood of Jesus washed me, and I have never been the same.
