'Superstar' In Coliseum

"Jesus Christ Superstar" will be staged at the Greensboro Coliseum at 8 o'clock tonight.
The original cast and 32 piece orchestra will perform the rock opera, which will have only the single staging in Greensboro.
Jeff Fenholt stars as Jesus Christ, with Carl Anderson as Judas and Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdelene.
The production has been criticized by some ministers for giving what they call a distorted view of the seven days before Christ's Crucifixion. But others say the rock opera has gotten young people and adults into thingking more seriously about religion.
Some of its several critics have reacted against its using rock music to tell the story of Jesus. They have published articles and used radio broadcasts to call rock music the music of "devil worship".
