APPENDIX - TEN COMMANDMENTS AND VIOLATION CURSES
  1. I am the Lord thy God...Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

    1. Deuteronomy 11:28 - And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

      1. Deuteronomy 27:26 - Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.

      2. Deuteronomy 28:15-68 - promises of curses for not hearkening unto the voice of the Lord, to observe to do the words of this covenant.

      3. Jeremiah 11:3 - And say unto them, 'Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant.'

      4. Psalm 119:21 - Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

    2. Deuteronomy 27:18 - Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way.

    3. Proverbs 3:33 - The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but He blesseth the habitation of the just.

    4. Proverbs 28:27 - He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

    5. Jeremiah 17:5 - Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart has departed from the Lord.

    6. Malachi 3:9 - Ye are cursed with a curse; for ye have robbed me, even as this whole nation.

    7. Exodus 22:20 - He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

      1. Leviticus 20:27 - A man also or woman that have a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.

      2. Leviticus 19:26-28 - Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.

      3. Exodus 22:18 - Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

      4. Leviticus 20:6 - And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go awhoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

      5. Leviticus 19:31 - Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

      6. Leviticus 20:2 - Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech: he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

      7. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 - There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of the times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

  2. Thou shalt make no graven images.

  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

    1. Genesis 12:2a - I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee.

    2. Deuteronomy 27:18 - Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way.

    3. Deuteronomy 27:21 - Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast.

      • Leviticus 20:15,16 - And if a man, woman, lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

    4. Jeremiah 48:10 - Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully (7423) and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

      • 7423 remiyah from 7411, remiss, treachery, deceit, false, guile, idle, slack, slothful.

      • 7411 ramah, prim. root, to hurl, to delude, betray, beguile, (cause to fall), deceiver.

    5. Malachi 1:14a - But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flocks a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing.

      • Genesis 27:12 - My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver: and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

    6. Malachi 2:22 - (to the priests) - If ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings.

  4. Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy.

  5. Honor thy father and mother, that thy days may be long upon the land.

    1. Leviticus 20:9 - For everyone that curseth his father and mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father and mother, his blood shall be upon him.

      • Deuteronomy 27:16 - Cursed be he that dishonors his father and mother.

    2. Deuteronomy 27:20 - Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt.

      • Leviticus 20:11 - And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

  6. Thou shalt not kill.

    1. Deuteronomy 27:24 - Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly.

    2. Deuteronomy 27:25 - Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person.

  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

    1. Deuteronomy 27:20 - Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt.

      • Leviticus 20:11 - And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

    2. Deuteronomy 27:22 - Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.

      • Leviticus 20:17 - And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

    3. Deuteronomy 27:23 - Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law (daughter-in-law; mankind).

      1. Leviticus 20:14 - And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; That there be no wickedness among you.

      2. Leviticus 20:12 - And if a man lieth with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.

      3. Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them.

  8. Thou shalt not steal.

  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

  10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house.

  11. Words for curse:

    1. 779 arar, prim. verb, to execrate, bitterly curse.

    2. 7045 gelaleh, from 7043, vilification, accurse.

      • 7043 galal, two diff. good and evil, bring into contempt, despise, vile.

    3. 3994 me'erah, from 779, an execration, curse.
